Weekend Recap!

We spent our weekend in Long Island,  Maine. It's where I met my husband (a post for a different day), and it's where we both call "home", even though I didn't move there til I was almost 18.
We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at a home that wasn't rented for the weekend. It's a little cottage on the East end of the island set right on the rocks. It's probably the closest to paradise I'll ever get :)
We spent some time before bed just looking out at the moonlit ocean while all we could hear were waves crashing on the rocks. The mornings were spent with coffee on the porch, Jameson playing baseball with crab apples off the tree in the yard, and watching neighbors fish off the rocks next door. We also spent an afternoon at the beach. .. alone. As in no one else was there.  Seriously,  it doesn't get any better.
Oh wait,  it does. We watched 2 of our most dear friends get married. It's was a beautiful ceremony,  followed by a wicked fun reception,  with a thunderstorm and a rainbow mixed in there.
Here are some pics:
Jameson and I watched the sunrise from the balcony.
Vivy loves to sleep at the beach. We forgot our umbrella at home, so my husband made an impromtu lean-to!
View from the porch.
Taking after his daddy who LOVES to find things on the beach and build rafts, or boats, or planes... or anything really!
Storm coming through the bay headed straight for the wedding reception.  It was beautiful!
Island family. (Please ignore the container of baby formula. HA!)
Another sunrise view from the house we stayed at. No filter needed!

Seriously, when can we go back?
